And so, like magic, I have a blog.  A place where I can express any damn thing I happen to be thinking in the moment, and have a certain number of people read it, for god knows what reason.  So what I really want to know is, what do you want me to write about?  What do you want my opinions on?  What have you seen me comment on that you want to explore?  One thing that will guarantee this blog dies a deserved death is lack of feedback.  If I don't have the sense that anyone gives a shit (see the title) what I have to say, then it's really pointless.  So you tell me.  What's the subject?

  1. You have a lot of great stuff in that head of yours. Rock climbing, wilderness medicine, trips around the world. The sky's the limit.

  2. David, this is never going to work if you don't embrace your awesomeness. You have had tons of life experience, you know a bunch of shit about a bunch of shit, and you've traveled the world, teaching and learning and climbing and exploring. Etc, etc.
And I know you're affected by the world around you, by your interactions with people, by what you read in the news. I know you have informed opinions. And you're a wonderful writer. So maybe try writing about what's on your mind from day-to-day. Maybe you'll be inspired by something you read or by a conversation you have with Sallie or a friend. Maybe you'll spend time with a memory and then want to share it here. Hell, it's your blog, so you can just post LOLcats if you want to. Whatever you want to share, I know that I, for one, will want to read it. I'll give a shit.
Above all else, just enjoy yourself. <3

  3. I'd like to see more detailed descriptions of places you've been than you have room to post other places. You've been to a lot of very interesting parts of the world, places I'm unlikely to get to visit, so I'd like to know more about them. But that's just me.
